Claire Kearney, Speech Pathologist
Hi, I'm Claire

Evidence-based therapy that fits your family's life.

I love what I do, and I genuinely care about the families I work with. Sessions are practical and fun because skills only stick when kids are actually engaged.

I stay in close contact with parents, teachers and other professionals so the progress we make together carries through at home and at school.

parent questions

You might be wondering…

When should my child see a speech pathologist?

If you have any concerns about your child's communication, it's worth reaching out — early support is often the most effective. Common reasons families get in touch include difficulty being understood, late talking, trouble with reading or spelling, social communication challenges, and concerns from kinder or school.

What does a first session look like?

The first session is about getting to know your child and your family — what's going well, what's tricky, and what you'd like to work towards. It's relaxed, play-based for younger kids, and parent-involved. From there, we'll plan an approach together.

How long does therapy usually take?

It depends on your child's goals — some children need a short block of sessions, others benefit from longer-term support. We'll review progress regularly and only continue while it's helpful.

Do you offer NDIS and Medicare?

Yes — I work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants, and with Medicare clients who have a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) referral from their GP. Private payment is also welcome.

How do I get started?

Send through a new client enquiry or give me a call on 0413 049 926. I aim to respond within 1–2 business days.
